Absyen provides a self-service account deletion feature through both the mobile app and website. You can deactivate your account anytime directly from within the app, without needing to contact the support team.
The account deletion process runs automatically and cannot be undone after the final confirmation. Your account data will be deactivated in accordance with the applicable retention policy.
Deleting Your Account in the Mobile App (Android/iOS)
Here are the steps to delete your account through the Absyen app on your phone:
1. Open the Profile Page
Open the Absyen app on your phone, then go to the Profile tab at the bottom of the app.
2. Open Settings & Choose Delete Account
Tap the gear icon (Settings), then select the red "Delete Account" menu at the bottom of the menu list.
3. Type the Word "DELETE"
The app will show a confirmation dialog. Type the word DELETE (in capital letters) to continue the deletion process.
4. Final Confirmation
Press the confirmation button. Your account will be deactivated and you will be returned to the Login page automatically.
Deleting Your Account via the Website (Dashboard)
You can also delete your account through the Absyen dashboard on your computer:
1. Log In to Your Account
Log in to the Absyen dashboard through your computer's browser.
2. Open System Settings
From the Admin menu, open the Settings page, then select the red "Delete Account" / Danger Zone tab.
3. Follow the 3 Confirmation Steps
The system will guide you: confirm your intention, verify identity (password), then type the phrase "DELETE MY ACCOUNT" exactly as displayed.
4. Process Complete
After confirmation, you will be automatically redirected to the Login page within a few seconds.
What Happens After Deleting Your Account
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you have downloaded or saved important data before proceeding.
Account Deactivated
Your account will be deactivated and cannot be used to log in to the Absyen app or website again.
Login Sessions Terminated
All your login sessions across various devices will be ended, and you will be redirected back to the Login page.
Attendance Data Disconnected
Your access to attendance, leave, overtime, and salary data at the company where you work will be terminated.
Data Retention
Historical data recorded in the company's system (such as attendance and payroll recaps) remains stored in the company's data in accordance with applicable terms and retention policies, for legal compliance and audit purposes.
Identity Security and Verification
To protect your account from misuse, our system applies several layers of verification before the account is deleted:
Layered Intent Confirmation
You are required to type a confirmation phrase (e.g., "DELETE" in the app or "DELETE MY ACCOUNT" on the website) to prevent accidental deletion.
Identity Verification
Password verification is required on the website to ensure the action is taken by the account owner.
